An Amish Kitchen is a compilation of three, very sweet novellas. I enjoyed reading this book. I have to admit, that I struggled a little at first with the unfamiliar dialect, but there is a reference in the front of the book to help with that.

The stories are about various things--hope,forgiveness and confidence through the Lord being three of the main themes. I personally liked the final story in the book, by Beth Wiseman the most. There was just something about the way unexpected things happened in that story that made it feel unputdownable.

If you are familiar with Amish fiction, this book will give you exactly what you came for. There is nothing you wouldn't want your child to read over your shoulder, and the stories end on a happy note. I felt the stories were a bit squished, but I suppose that is to be expected when they are novellas.

This would be a perfect vacation or lazy afternoon book that will more than likely put a smile on your face.

As a bonus there are quite a few really good recipes included after the stories. My favorite one, being the recipe for hope.

Overall, I liked this a lot and would recommend it to other fans of the genre.

Loved this book. Have read a lot of Beth Wiseman's books and they are all very inspiring.
You always feel you are there and living this along with charters. It is very uplifting and makes you feel closted to The Lord.
This one is mostly about young people falling in love. The first story about Fern and Abram was a bit graphic for me. But the writer did not go too far. Maybe it's because I have long since past that age. I do however remember what it is like to be young and falling in love, it is okay to tell stories about that as long as it is done in good taste. After all, falling in love is a big part of life on earth, but let's keep it in it's proper place. The Bed and Breakfast was well told in good taste, but I did not like the Chinese Water Dragon part of the third story. What is this fixation that people seem to have with lizards, dragons, and repulsive reptiles of all kinds these days!! These creatures are not favorable spoken of in the Holy Scriptures. Whats up with that????
I love this. The characters are perfect. The plot OS good. I finished it in about an hour. Each story is well written with the perfect amount of intrigue. This is one of first times I've read Amy Clipston, but defintiely not the last.
I very much enjoyed these stories as written from an Amish point of view. It gave us English people a good idea of what they do and think when it comes to others and their own families. I would highly recommend it as it contains no violence.

I love to read anything that Beth Wiseman writes. I think it took me 24 hour to read An Amish Kitchen, I was not able to put it
down it keep you're mind going so that you wanted to know what was going to happen next. Great, Great book that will amaze you, happy reading!!!!!!!! An

I love reading books about the Amish. This was a wonderful read. I've read other books by each of these 3 authors and knew I wouldn't be disappointed with this book. Each story was wonderful. I always get inspired by these authors and the stories they write. I highly recommend this book and also other books by each of these authors.
